I drew this on 26 th Jan....after bored to death watching a stupid movie called "RED" ......there cldnt be a worse movie than that !!!
This is done using a graphite/charcoal pencil on a water color paper(the rough textured one) I wanted to feel the flow of charcoal on that paper ...so instead of wasting the paper, I drew this....Sketch is a favourite form of art for me....just plain black and white ....and this texture is a lot comfortable for charcoal......It cld also be messy if you dont handle it properly....charcoal can spread easily on this paper and spoil your mood completely !!!!

Vow. I thought Phantom is good only at handling pirates. Now I see the subtlety of an artist in you too. That is really good.
Aquarius - she looks calm.. looking at the water flowing beside her.. as it tumbles away.. she stays calm.
Kinda like the emotions we face everyday.. beneath it all, she stays unshaken.. stable. No matter how much her world changes.

lovely sketch....the hair do is awesome...lovely hairdo for a sketch.Is this the lonely lady you spent your time with on 26th?? She doesnt look anywhere close to lonely to me...Sitting by the flowing stream enjoying nature while being in the center of it...she looks full of life to me!!

It made me think of a siren u know? In fact for a moment I wished I was at home so that I could look at it listening to the song Siren by Nightwish.
I liked ur sketch a lot, would like to see more than a sketch some day, maybe a finished drawing?? not necessarily with colors but something that gives the idea of closure or something like that. U r good at this... if u ever doubted it, u definitely have talent.

DV - Long hair are always pretty :-) .....Not that I dont like short ones....it somehow seems like adding to the feminity....yep...not so long that it comes and hits your knees ....that wldnt be that good...Also longer hair, I guess gives you the scope of twisting and changing it the way you want on a figure I guess !!!
Anyways - Interesting to see what chikuado saw !!! Well...to be honest, I initially thgh tof leaving just the figure...then I felt the canvas was too empty :-) ...also I wanted to feel the touch of Charcoal on Canvas....so filled a pattern....Dunno if water was in my mind that time...I probably felt thirsty??? :-)))

MoNTx for uninfluenced comments....Yep...Mermaid was on my mind because I wondered how to finish the legs....and then easiest way out is to have the image of a mermaid...:-) BTW, I dont think I'm too good at it....:-) Actually, I used to try during my school days.....Its been close to 8-10 yrs since I even tried something like this.....It was a welcome change for sure.....Hope to do more when I get time....hmmm....I shd try with colors too.....though I guess they are more difficult....
